The PiggyBack Concept

There are three, distinct PiggyBack models designed specifically for use in the delivery of sod.
PB40
The 4,000 lb capacity, 2-wheel drive PiggyBack PB40 is the hands down favorite choice of the sod industry. This light, fast, and exceptionally agile PB40 model has proven to be extremely popular for any application or job site where less weight and superior maneuverability is a must. It's rugged design, center seating, superior ground clearance, speed and power make the PB40 ideal for a variety of medium duty applications.
D45
The 4,500-5,500 lb capacity, 2-wheel drive PiggyBack D45 responds, instantly. The most powerful of our 2-wheel drive units ...the D45 turns quickly in its own length and permits you to deliver rated loads precisely where your customer wants them. The D45 mounts quickly and easily behind virtually any flatbed truck or trailer. With hydrostatic wheel motors and your choice of tires, the D45 provides sufficient power and surefooted control even under adverse conditions. In addition, the D45 is now available with the double-reach option. This feature allows the operator to unload the entire transport vehicle from just one side - even at the axles!
Z2-3
The compact 4,000-4,500 lb capacity, 3-wheel-drive PiggyBack Z2-3 model comes with scissors reach as standard equipment. This unique feature permits single side unloading in many cases. The extra sure-footedness of its 3-wheel drive makes the economical Z2-3 ideal for medium-duty application where a little extra power is needed. Its anti-stall feature ensures the Z2-3’s engine will never stall, even under the toughest conditions. This improves both safety and ease-of-operation.
